Girl’s Missionary Auxiliary is a discipleship program for girls in 4th grade through high school. GMA was started and is supported by BMA (Baptist Missionary Association) churches throughout the US and in several foreign countries. Besides Bible study requirements, students perform service projects and learn about mission works supported by BMA churches.
GMA helps girls…
learn God’s plan of salvation • learn and participate in mission work • learn how to work in groups • gain valuable friendships that last a lifetime • grow up feeling good about themselves and others through the training they receive
Discipleship is a lifelong process. We believe the design of the GMA curriculum is a wonderful start to a life of growth and service. The lessons available cover a variety of topics and have an emphasis on personal study, growth and service. We are currently working on supplemental Bible study material that will go hand in hand with the My Special Place workbook and provide some tools which will help counselors and girls come to a deeper understanding of the Word.
As girls progress through the Girls’ Missionary Auxiliary program, they learn Bible verses, learn about missions, and study Baptist doctrine. There are nine Forward Steps in the program, beginning wit Maiden and ending with Sovereign Queen. This program helps prepare young women for living a Christian life in today’s world.
Each summer, the National Girls Missionary Auxiliary hosts a Discipleship Retreat for girls in 4th-12th grade. It’s four days of encouragement, powerful teaching, and studying the word plus tons of fun activities! You won’t want to miss it. Click Camp Overview for details about this year’s retreat!
